Build your own aircraft engine with a power output of 120 to 140HP.

I'll share with you a detailed description of how to convert an automotive engine into an aircraft engine, including my know-how and many production drawings and tips on how to proceed. I'll give you instructions on how to build the lightest and most modern four-cylinder aircraft engine with direct injection and a turbocharger, which will far exceed the performance of the 100-horsepower Rotax 912 ULS, with as little effort and financial resources as possible.

The book will also cover how to make the gearbox and how to install the new engine correctly in the aircraft, while keeping the center of gravity within the original limits. The 1.2 TSI engine's performance will closely match that of the celebrated Rotax 915iS engine, and in some applications, it may even surpass it, especially in terms of higher torque! The higher torque, along with a suitable propeller, will give you an unprecedented experience of takeoff, climb, and very high cruising speed, along with low fuel consumption!

These are the strengths of this converted aircraft engine. These instructions can be applied to most modern automotive engines, not just the VW TSI series. It's up to you to choose which engine, with which weight and power, you'll ultimately use for your conversion. The 1.2 TSI engine is  for use in aircraft, such as the Yetti J-03 MTOW 450kg, and aircraft in the UL 600 kg category, such as the NG4 and NG6 series.  There are video clips to give you an idea of how airplanes with this engine can fly.

This book provides you with a detailed description of the development and production of a conversion from a car engine to an aircraft engine, as I have converted it, including know-how and manufacturing drawings of components necessary to modify the engine for aircraft use.

I will share with you step-by-step instructions on how to quickly and easily build a high-performance aircraft engine with minimal effort and minimal financial investment. I will teach you how to install it, make the engine mount, and show you how I calculated the center of gravity. With this book, you will be able to build your own engine according to your requirements. You will create an engine that is significantly more powerful than the Rotax 912 ULS 100HP engine and closely matches or even exceeds the performance of the Rotax 915is engine.

Each owner of this book will have a unique recognizable license and will be registered with me, so I can individually and confidentially reveal who and for how much can implement an immobilizer emulator into the ECU and upload suitable engine maps, remove the second lambda probe and catalytic converter, or provide the best and long-term tested modifications of the control unit, known as chiptuning.

The book is based on my 18 years of experience with car engine conversions, starting with the Škoda 136B carburetor engine with a power output of 68HP in the car Škoda Favorit, through the VW 1.4 16V 74kW/100Hp naturally aspirated engine with indirect injection from the Škoda Fabia and other VW, to the engines with the latest direct injection technology into the cylinder filled with a turbocharger from the Škoda Octavia or VW with a modified power output of 120-140HP.

The book is a significantly more detailed guide, with manufacturing drawings of the gearbox and, above all, supplemented with new findings, rejection of blind alleys, and significant simplifications than the publicly published series of articles: "We are building an aircraft engine," which was written at the beginning of the production and initial operation of these converted engines and presented on www.aeroweb.cz

Even the original series can tell you whether or not you are interested in the book.

The easiest, most widely used, cheapest, and very powerful representative of all-aluminum engines in our country is the 1.2 TSI engine code CBZA, CBZB, CBZx, which, at its weight of approximately 89kg, can be modified from its original power output of approximately 105HP to a power output of approximately 120-140HP and 240Nm, which already allows an airplane like NG4, NG5, NG6, Rokoaero, Bristell to fly at a cruising speed of 220km/h even without aerodynamic wheel covers and take off from a 150m short grassy area behind the house.

The engine, including the gearbox, as newly described in the book..."

"The Yetti J-03 aircraft table with a 1.2 TSI engine producing 120HP and 210Nm. Short version of the reducer.

In the book, we will describe the modification of this specific 1.2 TSI engine, with the understanding that today's engines, such as the 1.4 TSI, 1.5 TSI, 1.8TSI, and even the 2.0 TSI with up to 230 HP and 300Nm, do not differ significantly and use the same main engine management technologies. Therefore, you can analogously build a different and even more powerful engine. The knowledge gained from the book should be transferable to other engines after slight modifications.

This book is richly illustrated with real photos related to the described topic, and you will also find several videos with instructions on what to do and how to do it. The right picture and video or production drawing is worth thousands of words! The book also contains several production drawings for the manufacture of shafts, eccentricities, pulleys, and bearing blocks for the flat belt reducer. The reducer is a lattice structure, a welded structure that is designed so that the secondary pulley is fully adjustable for proper running and tensioning of the toothed belt, thereby ensuring its lifespan and trouble-free operation.

According to the book "Make your own aircraft engine with a power of 120-140HP," it is possible to manufacture an aircraft engine much cheaper than the Rotax 912 ULS worth around 18 000 EUR or USD and the Rotax 915is worth over 40 000 USD or EUR. You can build it yourself for a cost of around 2400 USD or EUR.

Intentionally blurred partial assembly of a gearbox for mounting a 1.2 TSI engine onto NG4, NG5, and NG6, Rokoaero, and Bristell aircraft. The engine fits under the original hood. The gearbox has an extended pulley and is designed for a flight-adjustable propeller weighing 15kg. In practice, it has been tested with a flight-adjustable propeller of 2080mm diameter and 11kg weight. The aircraft's appearance remains almost unchanged, with only a slight modification to the lower cover to accommodate the primary belt. The aircraft is very well balanced, essentially at the original values, as with the R912ULS, which is why the gearbox is set so far forward.

You can purchase the book only from me in an non-transferable electronic version for 100 EUR.

Before sending and paying for the book, you will need to sign a contract stating that you will not provide the book to anyone and will not allow them to use it, with a contractual penalty, and it is only for your private, non-profit use and the construction of one converted engine. Each edition of the book will contain several specific codes and a different word order, and each will be original, making it possible to distinguish which book has leaked, if any. Each book is encoded, so if you lose it, only you will have the code. Each page of the book has a watermark with the name and license number of the buyer.

I will have an email for each buyer so I can send them new knowledge from the community about engine building, and also so they can pay for any consultations they may need.

Enjoy your new book. The next book will be about how to build a large diameter in-flight adjustable propeller to allow your new engine to deliver huge power.
